Week Five: March 29th - April 4th

Hello all.

I will be discontinuing this blogs original mission of a short story a week. I had fun, but no one really seemed to care, and there is no point in posting stuff just for my benefit alone haha. The blog will stay up, and I will post things, but no longer in week increments. Wasn't worth sitting down and throwing together something presentable for the reward of cricket chirps. People like my friend Carolyn read them, and gave me opinions, but I can't ask much for the quality of work I'm submitting, and I can't stand the fact that some of my closest friends can't spare a few minutes to read my stories. So it goes, see you around kids.

  1. Crap! Caleb! I look forward to your stories every week! My whole family (including extended family) is reading them and loves them too. Keep writing Caleb, even if a post has to be two sentences. I don't know, it is silly but, watching you post things, and reading your stories makes me feel closer to you.

However, this writing process is not about me reading your stories, just like it's not about the people who are not reading your posts.
It's about you. I feel like Project 52 is about what would happen if you pushed your imagination to come up with a narrative a week. Project 52 and A Year in Photos puts a little stress on us. It becomes less of a stress and turns into a structure when you take it on as a challenge.
Caleb, I know your mind is very active, you write on your composition notepad all the time. And that little notepad makes me jealous, because it gets to read your thoughts when I don't. Please don't stop posting, or this jealous relationship between me and that notepad will get out of hand pretty quickly...

  2. Caleb! There is ABSOLUTELY a benefit in posting something just for yourself. However, that is not what is going on here. Even if I don't post, I still read your blog and I know other people do too. I think what you have to say is very thought provoking and so interesting to read. I'm glad you will still be posting but I am disheartened that it will be less often. :(
